Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicate with the physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists physician during invasive procedures. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiac Cath Laboratory team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.QualificationsCurrent CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS or RCES) or IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners, formerly NASPE) registration or successful completion of radiology technologist program with certification as ARRT-CI (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist – Cardiac Intervention)Current BCLS certification.Current ACLS certification.Minimum one-year previous work experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab or successful completion of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology.Proficient in interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings.Additional InformationMunson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
Requires certification from CCI, IBHRE, or ARRT-CI along with current BCLS and ACLS certifications. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab or completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program.
