The employee is there to assist the medical team in providing quality care to all patients. Medical assisting duties include patient triage, vital signs, patient history, EKG, injections, and using the electronic health record.
• One year of medical assisting experience working in a medical facility and or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office (preferred)
Requires a High School Diploma and certification from a nationally recognized medical assisting organization (CMA, CCMA, or RMA). BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory, and a Medical Assisting degree or one year of experience is preferred.
