Description At Wendell Family Dentistry, we believe exceptional dentistry starts with exceptional people. We are seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our close-knit team. This is an opportunity to practice in a supportive environment where relationships matter, teamwork is valued, and patient education is at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional preventive and periodontal care, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, polishing, and fluoride treatments. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including periodontal charting, oral cancer screenings, and evaluations of gingival and oral tissue health. Take diagnostic radiographs and assist in gathering information to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral health, disease prevention, home care techniques, and the connection between oral health and overall wellness. Document treatment provided, findings, and future treatment recommendations accurately in patient records. Assist during clinical examinations by recording the doctor's findings and recommendations. Apply pit and fissure sealants and other approved topical agents as indicated. Maintain treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all supplies and equipment are prepared for patient care. Clean and maintain restorations and dental appliances, including dentures and partials. Coordinate follow-up care and help maintain the hygiene recall system to support ongoing patient relationships. Provide an outstanding patient experience by creating a welcoming, comfortable, and educational environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid X-ray certification. Active RDH license. Current CPR and First Aid certification. GBT certified, preferred but not required.

Requirements
