Contract Details Nights, 7p-7a including every other wknd Start Date: 8/3/2026 Contract: 13 Weeks Location: Newport, VT 05855 Hourly Pay: $ 41.00 Non-taxed Stipend: $ 1246.00 Weekly Total Pay: $ 2353.00 Holiday Coverage Required: Yes EMR Used: Cerner A position available for a Labor & Delivery RN including Post-Partum and Baby Unit for the night shift. This position requires the flexibility to float to other units as well as care for overflow from the Progressive Care Unit. Key Responsibilities: Monitor the mother and baby's vital signs throughout labor and delivery Administer medications and pain relief as required Provide education and emotional support to the mother and family Assist with labor-inducing procedures and techniques Prepare and maintain delivery rooms and equipment Assist obstetricians and midwives during delivery Perform postpartum care and monitor recovery Recognize and respond to complications or emergencies Document medical records and update patient charts Educate new mothers on newborn care practices Compensation: Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible) Pay package details provided upon offer
Minimum Requirements: Must have 5 year of Labor & Delivery including Post-Partum and Baby Unit RN experience Must have PALS certification Must have NRP certification Includes every other weekend rotation. This position also requires floating to other units (ED, MCH), if there is a need. Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties. Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability Compliance/Screening (Pre-Start): Drug screen and background check (facility required) Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned
