Position Overview Vision Quest Solutions (VQS) is seeking experienced Inpatient Registered Nurses to support Hopi Health Care Center (HHCC), an Indian Health Service facility serving the Hopi Reservation in northeastern Arizona.
This travel assignment offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient nursing care in a Critical Access Hospital while working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
The Inpatient RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while ensuring safe, evidence-based nursing practice for patients across the lifespan.
Essential Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
Monitor patient conditions and promptly recognize changes requiring intervention.
Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments.
Coordinate patient care with physicians, specialists, therapists, pharmacists, and ancillary staff.
Perform wound care, specimen collection, catheter management, and other nursing procedures.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds while promoting patient safety and quality outcomes.
Follow Indian Health Service policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements.
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professional nursing standards.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Minimum of two (2) years of recent inpatient or Medical-Surgical nursing experience. Ability to successfully complete federal credentialing and background requirements.
Previous Indian Health Service (IHS), Tribal Health, VA, or other federal healthcare experience. Prior travel nursing experience. Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare environment. BSN preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
