Provide nursing and midwifery services within acute and sub-acute hospital settings across various Tasmanian locations. Duties include delivering patient care and participating in professional development programs for returning practitioners.
Our Registers are for use by non-employees. Current employees should lodge their interest for additional hours/duties on the intranet Expression of Interest page.
Registers provide a mechanism to recruit to casual vacancies. They may also be used to fill short, fixed term vacancies where normal recruitment processes are not practicable.
For permanent and more lengthy fixed term vacancies, please look at the individual advertisements on www.jobs.tas.gov.au [www.jobs.tas.gov.au].
This Register will remain open until 30 June 2028 and will be reviewed on a regular basis.
Please note a fixed-term and casual employment register is not a vacancy and inclusion on a register does not guarantee any offer of employment will be made.

If you are seeking to return to nursing and have been approved by the NMBA to complete a Re-entry to Practice program (Pathway 1 or 2), please click here [https://careers.jobs.tas.gov.au/jobs/re-entry-registered-nurse-midwife-employment-register-2025-2027-statewide-tas-australia-south-north-north-west].
