Provide hands-on daily living support and personal care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. Assist individuals in building life skills, achieving personal goals, and participating in community activities.

As a Direct Support Floater, you will support adults with intellectual, developmental, physical, and behavioral health needs in both residential and community settings. You will play an important role in helping individuals build life skills, achieve personal goals, and remain active in their communities while being part of a supportive and mission driven team. What You Will Do Provide hands on support with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, dressing, and mobility Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and medication reminders as needed Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as budgeting, communication, and meal planning Provide transportation to medical appointments, errands, and community outings Encourage participation in social, recreational, and volunteer activities such as fitness, crafts, Special Olympics, and community events Implement behavioral support strategies and use de escalation techniques when needed Collaborate with nurses, behaviorists, nutritionists, and other clinical team members to provide well rounded care Assist with goal planning, progress tracking, and skill development Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and daily activities What You Will Need Minimum of 1-year previous experience High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Willingness to learn, paid training is provided Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to support others Why You Will Love This Role This is more than just a job.
