Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy center, located on Billingsley Road in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will provide safe, effective, and high-quality patient care in both pre-procedural and post-procedural settings. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Educate patients and families before and after endoscopic procedures to ensure understanding and reduce anxiety Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing protocols Monitor patient status, including vital signs and responses to treatments or procedures Maintain a safe clinical environment and adhere to infection control standards Assess patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the physician and care team Respond effectively to emergency situations following established protocols Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the care process Accurately document all patient care in compliance with legal and medical standards Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain required competencies Other duties as assigned

Requirements

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS certification required; ACLS preferred 1-3 years experience in perioperative, postoperative, or endoscopy settings preferred Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and patient education abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical Demands: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
