Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
  • Knowledge of ergonomic body motion techniques to reduce strain during procedures.
  • Previous experience in a dental office setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated compassion in patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize dental treatment rooms and instruments prior to patient appointments.
  • Assist dentists during various dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Perform sterilization and infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
  • Manage patient records and update dental software systems such as Dentrix to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions with compassion and clarity.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with other staff to optimize clinic workflow.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and functionality.

Requirements

A high school diploma is required, with a preference for Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification. Candidates should possess basic computer skills and a willingness to learn dental clinical techniques.
