Responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to ICU patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care plans. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and provides essential teaching and counseling to patients and their families.
A registered professional nurse employed by Erlanger Medical Center is responsible for direct and/or indirect care of the patient.
Required: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program. De-escalation training, if applicable
Preferred: Graduate of an Accredited four year Nursing Program (BSN)
Required: One year medical/surgical acute care experience or at department manager's discretion.
The Nurse Licensure Compact will not change how to obtain or renew a North Carolina license. However, the North Carolina nursing license will be a single state license for North Carolina Residents or non-compact state residents. North Carolina licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-North Carolina residents.
