Practice for this role

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide compassionate care to NICU patients, collaborating with healthcare teams and families to meet physical and spiritual needs. Responsibilities include managing patient safety and well-being while cross-training in postpartum and transition roles.

Where You’ll Work For more than 50 years, St.

Anthony North Hospital has delivered optimal health care to the communities of Westminster, Erie, Brighton, Broomfield, Northglenn and Thornton.

Highlights of our campus include 60,000 square feet of integrated primary and specialty care physician clinics, ambulatory surgery center, birthing center with private birthing suites, Level III Trauma Center with 24/7 emergency services, over 150 inpatient beds and an outpatient diagnostics center with lab and imaging services.

In 2023, we received our prestigious Magnet designation!

We are so proud of our nursing staff for this achievement, which is awarded to less than 6 percent of hospitals in the United States.

Built on the pillars of convenience, wellness and person-centered care, we offer inpatient and outpatient care at one site, with an emphasis on preventive health, wellness and health education.

We have a 7-9 bed level 2 NICU.

We keep 32 weeks and above, however, with being located right off I-25 we see all gestations.

The APP is in house 24/7 and the neonatologist rounds in person daily.

Our unit is unique because all of our NICU nurses function in the transition and postpartum role.

This allows for a very cohesive and close team!

We will thoroughly train you and make sure you are comfortable and competent!

Due to the structure and size of our NICU and fluctuations in NICU census, the NICU team is expected to cross train to PP and the transition RN role.

You will receive an orientation to that role and we will support your learning needs to ensure you feel comfortable coming off orientation.

Job Summary and Responsibilities Nurses are at the heartbeat of our organization and your time will be spent in a supportive, team environment with resources to help you flourish and leaders who care about your success.

Market context

Colorado nursing roles favor experienced RNs

Colorado nursing roles like this often draw steady demand from home health and hospice settings, where employers look for RNs who can work independently and manage patient care in the field. These positions are competitive because a current Colorado RN license, prior nursing experience, reliable transportation, and familiarity with HCHB can all strengthen an application. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save time, then confirm your license, driving documents, and home health or hospice experience before applying.
