Administers chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under the direction and supervision of a physician Assesses and monitors therapy of patients using appropriate technical skills under the direction and supervision of a physician Assesses patients for changes in condition, including but not limited to abnormal labs, x-rays, scans and drug reactions. Initiates appropriate action. Performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central venous access devices and alternate delivering systems Maintains efficient and appropriate patient flow Phone triage as assigned Documents all elements of care Serves as a resource to the Medical Assistants Communicates all pertinent information and any interventions to the physician or advanced practice provider Assesses patient and family needs
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited professional nursing program with a current RN state license and BCLS certification. Oncology experience and OCN certification are strongly preferred, along with a willingness to travel between offices.
