This position will work alongside another APP from 7am-8pm splitting the census.

Pay Range

$47.50 - $71.25

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full‑time (1.0 FTE)
  • Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 7:00 a.m.– 8:00 p.m.
  • Setting: Inpatient
  • Location: Atrium Health Pineville & UW Hospitals
  • Call Coverage: Weekend daytime call (7 a.m.–8 p.m.), shared with one GI APP
  • Holidays: Some holidays required (rotational)
  • Clinical Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient gastroenterology care, including consults and ongoing patient management
  • Average patient volume: 18–20 patients per day
  • Perform PEG tube exchanges/placements in endoscopy as applicable
  • Collaborate closely with GI physicians, APP colleagues, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in an acute care environment
  • Team & Practice Environment
  • Weekend staffing model includes 1 GI physician and 2 APPs
  • Large, established GI group with 32 physicians and 38 APPs
  • Supportive leadership and experienced colleagues

Qualifications

  • Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required (no new graduates)
  • Active or eligible North Carolina licensure
  • Strong interest in comprehensive inpatient gastroenterology care
  • Subspecialty GI interests welcomed

Must be a certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with at least 2 years of experience. Requires an active or eligible North Carolina licensure and a strong interest in inpatient gastroenterology.
