DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION · Perform complex tasks associated with the operation of advanced fluoroscopy equipment to produce special radiographic images.
Screen patients prior to imaging for fluoroscopy exam requested.
Assist with procedure protocols and performance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required. #INDCERTIFIED

Must obtain ARRT certification within one year of employment. Candidates should be capable of performing physically active tasks, including moving objects over 20 lbs and working rotating shifts.
Administer contrast as directed per protocol.
Provide for the psychological and physical needs of patients for imaging. · Provide education and training for student technologists.
Assist with education and training of new physicians (interns, residents, fellows and attending’s) if applicable.
Assist radiologists and physicists in developing new protocols and techniques that are unique to MUHC.
May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS · ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within one (1) year as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.
