We’re comfortably nestled in the San Pedro River Valley, 75 miles southeast of Tucson.
Canyon Vista Medical Center was founded in 1963 as Western Baptist Osteopathic Hospital on what was then the eastern edge of Sierra Vista.
Growth and advancing technology dictated building our new 177,000 square foot hospital at 5700 E Hwy 90 completed in 2015.
How you’ll contribute
Interviews and assesses patients and/or patient's family, caregivers, and/or legal representatives.
Determines, prioritizes, provides and/or arranges for needed internal and external services/interventions.
Participates in case reviews to evaluate case management and progress. Consults with healthcare team members to promote, monitor, and evaluate compliance with patient's treatment plan.
Assists with discharge planning and processes. Identifies appropriate resources, including transportation, housing, healthcare, and social/spiritual services, and provides referrals as part of the discharge plan.
Supervises and/or trains new staff, students, and interns. Provides individual, family and group therapy.

What we’re looking for Applicants should have
Bachelors required; Masters preferred
Board Certified Social Worker, or related field (i.e. counseling) in the state of Arizona (CSW, LPCA, LCSW) within 6 months of hire
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Handle With Care within 30 days of hire.

A Bachelor's degree is required, though a Master's is preferred. Candidates must obtain Arizona board certification (CSW, LPCA, or LCSW) within six months of hire.
