What you will Do

• FirstChoice US Techs are utilized to fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system, and we need you to be a part of this innovative program!

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality ultrasound procedures by utilizing proper positioning skills and technical factors, as well as a knowledge of anatomical structures pertinent to the patient population of infants to geriatrics.
  • Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.
  • Educates patients of exams being performed and obtains consent to perform procedure when necessary.
  • Collaborate with members of assigned unit as well as FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced based care within a healing culture for patients as well as families.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or higher required.
  • 2 years of US Tech experience required.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. (Note: American Heart Association certifications only accepted.)
  • Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations.
  • Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.

Requirements

Requires an Associate's degree or higher and at least 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician. Must hold ARDMS registration and a current AHA-issued BLS certification.
