About the role

Independently provide safe and compassionate nursing care within the Infant Special Care Unit. Collaborate with the healthcare team and direct unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Hourly Pay Range

  • $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Position: Registered Nurse – Infant Special Care Unit
  • Location: Evanston, IL
  • As needed
  • Hours: 1900-0730 and 0700-1930 with some weekends
  • Float: Highland Park Nursery

What you will do

  • Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the ISCU
  • Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
  • Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
  • Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
  • Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need

  • Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
  • Certification: BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required (from AHA)
  • License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
  • Experience: 2 plus years current ISCU/NICU experience required
  • Unique or

  • Skills: NICU/ISCU experience
