Description ROLE TYPE: PRN
Exalt Health, an acute rehabilitation hospital, provides an intensive rehabilitation program, and admitted patients must be able to tolerate three hours of intense rehabilitation services per day. Focused on caring for patients with complex rehabilitative needs such as stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, head trauma, medically debilitation conditions, neurological disorders, cardio-pulmonary amputations, orthopedic injuries, and multiple major traumas.
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide specialized diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients experiencing cardiopulmonary disorders within our inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans with the goal of restoring optimal respiratory function and quality of life for our patients.
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments, including pulmonary function testing, interpretation of blood gas results, and evaluation of patient response to treatments. Treatment Delivery: Provide a range of respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, mechanical ventilation management, and airway clearance techniques. Patient Education: Educate patients and family members about respiratory conditions, self-management techniques, and proper use of respiratory equipment.
Accurately maintain patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and responses to therapy.
Work closely with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and monitor integrated care plans.

Maintenance: Ensure the safe and proper operation of respiratory equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting.
