The dosimetrist performs calculations and 2D, 3D, and IMRT planning for radiation treatments. This work is conducted under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist and a Certified Chief Medical Dosimetrist.
Description Hematology Oncology Associates of CNY (HOACNY), voted one of Central New York’s Best Places to Work, has an opening for a permanent full-time Dosimetrist.
The successful candidate will join a strong and highly collaborative team of 3 Physicists, 1 Physics Associate and 3 Dosimetrists.
HOACNY has two Cancer Treatment Centers as well as providing coverage for an affiliate center.
We operate with two Varian TrueBeam Linacs and a Cyberknife system operating on the ARIA OIS platform and utilizing Eclipse (with Radformation) and Precision treatment planning systems.

Under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist, Certified Chief Medical Dosimetrist, and general supervision of a Physicist, the dosimetrist performs calculations, 2D and 3D planning, IMRT, and any other necessary planning for radiation treatments. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in any field or hold an active registration with the ARRT in Radiation Therapy and a New York State License. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a Radiation Therapy Department recommended. CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Certified Medical Dosimetrist. Active registration with the ARRT in Radiation Therapy and New York State license preferred.
