Role Overview: Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Part Time - Richmond, VA We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our Richmond team on a part-time basis.

This role provides the opportunity to deliver person-centred psychosocial care within post‑acute, long‑term care and assisted living settings.

The successful clinician will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, support residents and families, and contribute to continuity of care while maintaining flexible scheduling and professional autonomy.

Benefits for Our Healthcare Professionals Flexible part‑time scheduling to support work–life balance Competitive compensation — Independent Contractor arrangement Autonomy to practice within a collaborative and supportive team environment Professional clinical and administrative support, including assistance with credentialing Streamlined in‑house billing workflows and operational support Access to discounted professional liability insurance where applicable Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for admissions, routine reviews and as‑needed evaluations Develop and implement individualized treatment and discharge plans in collaboration with facility staff and families Provide brief therapy, crisis intervention, grief and bereavement support, and behavioral health management appropriate to the post‑acute setting Coordinate community resources, referrals and social supports to promote resident wellbeing and safe transitions Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, care planning meetings and family consultations Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), ensuring clear communication of plans and follow‑up Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, case reviews and infection prevention activities as required Provide education and clinical guidance to facility staff, residents and families on psychosocial issues and care approaches Qualifications and Required Skills Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited institution Active, unrestricted Virginia LCSW license and current malpractice coverage as required Experience in post‑acute, long‑term care, geriatrics, behavioral health or related settings preferred Strong assessment, care planning and brief therapy skills with sensitivity to older adults and diverse populations Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record systems and timely, clear documentation practices Excellent communication, interdisciplinary collaboration and problem‑solving abilities Culturally sensitive, person‑centered approach and commitment to preserving dignity in care What Success Looks Like Timely, appropriate psychosocial assessments and interventions that support resident safety, independence and wellbeing Clear, accurate documentation and effective communication with facility staff, residents and families Positive working relationships with multidisciplinary teams and measurable contributions to quality improvement Reliable part‑time coverage that supports continuity of care and facility needs Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled We provide equal opportunity for all applicants and will consider qualified candidates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability.

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in Social Work and an active, unrestricted Virginia LCSW license. Experience in geriatrics, behavioral health, or long-term care settings is preferred.
