About the role

Manage and provide care for pediatric neurology patients through collaborative consultation and diagnostic procedures. Responsibilities include conducting parent interviews, ordering laboratory tests, and maintaining timely clinical documentation.

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (.75 FTE) to join our outpatient neuroscience clinic at the Treasure Coast in Port. St. Lucie, FL. Responsibilities

  • Manages and provides care for the patient requiring Neurology care utilizing collaborative consultation with team members, under the direction and supervision (but not necessarily the direct attendance) of an attending Neurologist.
  • Conducts parent interviews and takes family history.
  • Collaborates with Neurologist concerning pertinent historical events, physical findings, diagnostic and therapeutic measures initiated on all admissions.
  • Orders appropriate laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures necessary and appropriate for the care of the patient.
  • Participates in meeting goals of the department.
  • Completes timely documentation as required by departmental policy and Nemours standards.

Qualifications

  • Current Florida APRN or PA license in good standing (PNP or PA-C)
  • Current AHA BLS certification upon hire
  • 2 years of pediatric neurology or neuroscience experience preferred

Requirements

Requires a current Florida APRN or PA license in good standing and AHA BLS certification. Two years of experience in pediatric neurology or neuroscience is preferred.
