Goldbelt Glacier Health Services is looking for a Registered Nurse - PACU.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness. Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF. Perform physical exam and health histories. Provide health promotions, counseling, and education. Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. Guide and advise care provided by other healthcare professionals. Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel. Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations. Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization. Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate. Perform nursing services identified in the TO. Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes. Coordinates and communicates with facility staff members to facilitate patient care. Collects, interprets, records, and communicates pertinent patient data relevant to the patient’s care before, during, and after surgery. Actively observes patients and takes appropriate action as indicated by problems. Accurately reviews and confirms completeness of patient chart and reports any abnormalities to appropriate staff in a timely manner. Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge

Excellent oral communication skills for patient/family education and telephone triage of patients. Telephone and in-person assessment/evaluation includes the determination of optimal time and location for patient management (ER, clinic, homecare) and follow-up care as required. Prescribes and communicates treatment plans and patient teaching in accordance with established protocols. Excellent written communication skills to perform accurate documentation, both written and electronic, of all activity, including telephone contacts, in accordance with requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree/Education: Associates Degree of Nursing / Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Experience

The registered nurse must have a minimum of two-years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)/Intensive Care Unit (ICU)/Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience within the last three years. ALS and PALS. These certifications shall be maintained in a current status at all times while performing services under this contract at no expense to the Government. Must be a U.S. Citizen Pay and Benefits The annual salary range for this position is $95,000 to $97,000. At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work. Requirements

Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution and U.S. citizenship. Candidates must have at least two years of PACU, ICU, or ER experience within the last three years, along with current ALS and PALS certifications.
