Support the Mohs Surgeon during all stages of surgical procedures, including patient preparation, tissue handling, and post-operative care. Manage clinical documentation, pathology logs, and maintain a sterile environment in compliance with regulatory standards.
The Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Mohs Surgeon during procedures, ensuring a smooth surgical workflow, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing post-operative care instructions to patients.
This role involves assisting in patient preparation, procedural support, wound care, and documentation.
The Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant is also responsible for maintaining surgical instruments, processing pathology specimens, and ensuring compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
Additionally, this role may require cross-training in the Mohs laboratory to assist with tissue processing as needed.
This is a full time position and will work: Monday 7:00a-4:00p - Naperville Tuesday 7:00a-4:00p - Berwyn Thursday 7:00a-4:00p - Naperville Friday 7:00a-4:00p - Crest Hill
Qualifications: EDUCATION High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience: 1-2 years of recent experience in a dermatology or surgical setting preferred.
Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed. For this position, the base pay range is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour.
