About the role

Provide basic and skilled nursing care to inpatient patients during night shifts. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, managing pain and symptoms, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Night Shift; Three 12 hour shifts; 7

00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.

Qualification Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing; BSN preferred.

Currently licensed as an RN through the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience, with 1 year of experience in an acute setting preferred.

Has working experience charting in an EMR system, Netsmart system preferred.

Possesses clinical expertise related to critical thinking, assessment, problem-solving, and technical skills.

Possesses the ability to provide basic and skilled nursing care, set priorities of care, and appropriately assess limits of intervention.

Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members regarding care issues.

Has the ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team.

Demonstrates strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.

Must be CPR certified according to the American Heart Association CPR standards.

Understands the hospice philosophy, principles of death/dying, concepts of pain/symptom management, and adult teaching/learning principles

Requirements

Requires a nursing degree and a current Ohio RN license with 1-2 years of clinical experience. Must be CPR certified and possess proficiency in EMR systems.
