The RN provides comprehensive nursing services, including assessment and management of complex end-of-life symptoms for patients and families. They collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans while supervising LPNs and Home Health Aides.

QualificationsComputer
Skills: Strong computer skills including database software and general knowledge of email/outlook. Must be able to utilize device to document in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Supervisory
Responsibilities: .This job supervises care provided by LPN and HHA’s.
Education/Experience: Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelor in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred. CHPN preferred. Hospice experience preferred.
Language
Skills: Communication skills of reading, writing, and speaking in English.
Mathematical
Skills: Math skills needed including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages/fractions with ability to calculate medication doses. Nurse must successfully pass the math test given at time of interview prior to starting orientation and annually.

Registrations: Current Registered Nurse License to practice in the state of Florida Healthcare Provider CPR required upon hire and maintained. CHPN preferred; Required within 2 years of employment. Valid Florida Driver’s License required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Visits outside of the Inpatient Unit setting involve driving to patient homes. Must be able to endure exposure to common household allergens (i.e., pets, plants, dust).
Candidates must hold a current Florida Registered Nurse license and a CPR certification, with an Associate's degree in Nursing required and a BSN preferred. Strong computer skills and the ability to pass a medication math test are also mandatory.
