New Graduate Nurses are supported throughout their transition from academia to practice with a 12-month Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program TM. There is automatic enrollment into the Nurse Residency Program for all Graduate Nurses with less than one year of experience. During the 12-month residency program, Nurse Residents will gather monthly for mandatory seminars to develop clinical and leadership skills. Nurse Residents will take part in a comprehensive orientation and will receive ongoing support and mentorship.

Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited school of nursing program and comply with temporary practice provisions set by the Connecticut State Department of Public Health. Current CPR certification is preferred and required within three months of employment.
