Conduct new and follow-up office visits for patients with chronic musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain. Manage patient triage, order diagnostic imaging, and assist in the operating room for spinal cord stimulator implants.
APP position available to work at the Clinic for Specialty Pain Services at Meadville Medical Center with Dr. Anthony Colantonio, board certified anesthesiologist and fellowship trained pain management physician in his 23rd year of practice at the clinic.
Patient population is comprised mostly of patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain, the majority of which involves spinal pathology. Other conditions treated include chronic neuropathic pain.
The practice is an outpatient clinic with appointments scheduled Monday – Friday with no weekend hours required in the clinic. Clinic is conveniently located within a Meadville Medical Center hospital campus allowing quick access to OR and patient floors.
Call is once a week and one weekend per month (calls for referrals taken with patient seen while admitted within 24 hours of the consult)
