About the role

The therapist provides individual and group counseling to adults dealing with trauma, mental health, and substance abuse issues. Responsibilities include conducting evaluative interviews, managing cases, and developing individualized treatment plans across various levels of care.

  • Therapists at Turning Point provide individual and group counseling to adults with trauma, mental health, and/or substance abuse issues.
  • Therapists must be aware of social factors affecting the psychological well-being of individuals, services/programs for psychological/sociological improvement of individuals, and in conducting evaluative interviews.
  • Group therapy (process and education groups) is held in the morning.
  • Afternoons are primarily individual sessions, family contacts, case management, and treatment planning.
  • We offer a full contiuum of care including Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient levels of care.
  • Mental Health units are co-ed and Substance Abuse/Chemical Dependency units are gender specific.
