DSPs will accompany clients on errands and appointments while assisting them with everyday tasks. They will also engage clients in their favorite hobbies and participate in community integration activities.

Candidates should have at least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, although paid training is available for those without experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
