The extern will acquire new radiology skills and progress in functionality under the guidance of a mentor. They are responsible for adhering to department protocols to ensure examinations are optimized for interpretation.

Radiology Extern 2 Job Responsibilities: Demonstrates acquisition and exercise of new skills.
Displays progress in level of functionality.
Communicates effectively with mentor(s) and over time, demonstrates greater independence and decision-making ability.
Able to perform at expected level of supervisor(s) expectations.
Adheres to department policies and protocols by ensuring all examinations are optimized for interpretation.
Demonstrates the ability and skills to assist with adhering to radiography principles.
Minimum Requirements: Education: High School or GED.
Full-time student in good standing in an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Must be 2nd year in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
