Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, including stereotactic guided breast biopsies, following ACR and FDA protocols. Responsibilities include patient positioning, equipment adjustment, image processing, and maintaining quality control standards.
Under the direction of a Radiologist, Facility Manager performs mammography procedures according to protocols established according to the ACR and FDA, at a technical level requiring supervision of technical detail. Performs screening and diagnostic procedures using either 2D or 3D technical radiographic procedures that will require judgement and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as required. Mammographers as a grade I or II are encouraged to apply.
Requires a high school diploma, graduation from an accredited 2-year radiologic technology program, and current Florida State License (CRT). Candidates must hold ARRT registry in both Radiologic Technology and Mammography, as well as BLS certification.
