ChristianaCare's Outpatient Behavioral Health practice in Glen Mills, PA is seeking a professional, compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.

The Outpatient Adult Psychiatry practice is a highly respected, multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing comprehensive, confidential mental and emotional health care.

Our clinicians including psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, mental‑health counselors, and board‑certified psychiatrists deliver tailored evaluation and treatment services supported by the full resources of ChristianaCare.

We care for patients experiencing a wide range of behavioral‑health needs, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, relationship and family challenges, life transitions, grief and loss, and other emotional or mental‑health concerns.

Our integrated model ensures patients receive convenient, coordinated support from a team committed to high‑quality, compassionate care.

As a Medical Assistant I, you support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care. Flexibility to travel to other locations if needed is strongly preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Monday through
  • Friday: 8:00am -4:30pm
  • No weekends or holidays

Duties

/ Responsibilities: The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range

$19.10 - $27.69

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
