The Team Assistant provides basic personal care, including bathing and grooming, for residents in a long-term care facility. They also assist with physical therapy, sensory stimulation programs, and maintain a clean environment for residents.
CHILDREN'S HABILITATION CENTER CHC is looking for a Long-Term Care Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are essential members of the healthcare team in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. They provide hands-on care and support to elderly or disabled residents who require long-term assistance with daily activities.
Provide Resident Personal care functions (bathing, skincare, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing & undressing) Assists in turning and positioning residents Conducts sensory stimulation programs, as delineated in the Individual Patient Plan (IPP) and Individual Education Plan (IEP) Assists with physical therapy programs, as dictated by the Physical Therapist Completes resident active treatment and documents results Uses proper transfer techniques when transferring residents per policy Demonstrates appropriate knowledge for the safe use of medical equipment Helps keep residents' rooms and equipment clean and supplied Make and change beds Transports residents, supplies, and equipment as needed Required to have your booster shot Assists nurses and other personnel as needed Abide by the SEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement
Certified Nursing or Healthcare Assistant certification required American Health Association approved CPR certification Good standing on IDPH Health Care Worker Registry Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug testing, TB Test, and Lift Test. Experience working with various socioeconomic populations is a plus. Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
