Designed to support the transition from nursing school to professional practice, the program combines structured orientation, hands-on clinical experience, educational sessions, and ongoing mentorship throughout your first year. You’ll work alongside experienced nurses, dedicated preceptors, and Clinical Nurse Educators who are committed to helping you build confidence, strengthen clinical judgement, and establish a strong foundation for a successful nursing career.

  • What to Expect
  • Rotational experience across Glens Falls Hospital’s Medical-Surgical (Medical, Inpatient Oncology, Surgical, and Telemetry) units before matching to a home unit. The matching process involves review of open positions, collaboration with nurse leaders, and your feedback.
  • Dedicated preceptor support and individualized clinical orientation
  • Orientation progress meetings to support professional growth and development
  • Six months of structured educational sessions focused on clinical skills, critical thinking, prioritization, communication, and patient safety
  • Ongoing mentorship from a Clinical Nurse Educator throughout your first year
  • A professional development day focused on peer support, career development, and nursing excellence
  • Opportunity to begin your career with a Magnet-recognized organization and ANCC-accredited Nurse Residency Program

Salary Range

The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $38.00 to $43.00 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.

Qualifications/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred; new hires will be required to complete their BSN within 5 years of hire.

Graduation from a Registered Professional Nursing Program.
