About the role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional in-home infusion services and conducting physical assessments for clients. They must manage care plans, report condition changes to medical practitioners, and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Job Summary Provides services to clients in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, Agency policy, and accepted professional standards of practice. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing services utilizing a comprehensive base of nursing theory.

Responsibilities

Assume accountability for professional nursing practice, following the state Nurse Practice Act and home health standards. Conduct physical assessments, including client admissions and reassessments, as directed by the Clinical Supervisor. Report changes in the client condition to the medical practitioner and care team promptly. Contribute to the development and adjustment of client care plans. Demonstrate technical nursing competency, especially in administering infusions, injectables, and IV access. Practice nursing with respect for individual, cultural, and spiritual differences, adhering to Agency policies. Promote safety, infection control, and continuous quality improvement in client care. Maintain confidentiality and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred. Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) of practice. Proficient in various infusion and injectable medications, including peripheral intravenous (IV) starts and accessing infusion ports. Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills. Current CPR certification. Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements. Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current RN license and CPR certification. Proficiency in IV starts, infusion ports, and injectable medications is required, along with a valid driver's license and insured vehicle.
