About the role

Deliver comprehensive care to medical patients by assessing needs, planning interventions, and evaluating effectiveness. Maintain continuity of care and implement age-specific safety and infection control measures.

  • Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway Frisco, TX 75033
  • Work hours: Full time, Nights (7PM – 7AM); rotating weekends/holidays required

Department Highlights

  • · 14 bed unit newer unit looking to grow a strong team ·
  • Cases include: Mostly medical patients. (GI, GU, DM, pneumonia, cellulitis, CHF,COPD, wounds) A few simple surgical patients · Self scheduling · Teamwork ·
  • Ratios - 4:1/5:1

Here’s What You Need · Nursing Diploma Nursing Req Or · Associate's Degree Nursing Req Or · Bachelor's Degree Nursing Pref · 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req · RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And · BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And · ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And · CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Requirements

Requires a nursing diploma, associate's, or bachelor's degree and a valid RN license. Candidates must have one year of experience or completion of an RN residency, along with BCLS, ACLS, and CPI certifications.
