The Emergency Department Technician provides support to the Emergency Department (ED) Nursing and Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) staff by performing tasks that assist in the care and treatment of patients with illnesses and injuries. Serves as a liaison among members of the healthcare team, patients and families. Organizes, replaces and maintains inventory and supply levels in the Department. Assists in other department-related activities.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and possess current certifications in phlebotomy, nursing assistance, and BLS. Preferred qualifications include orthopedic technology training and prior experience in an emergency department or as an EMT.
