The CT Technologist operates CT scanners to produce detailed diagnostic and interventional scans based on physician orders. Responsibilities include patient preparation, verifying identification, and ensuring exams are properly archived in PACS and RIS.
Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the CT Technologist prepares for and operates a CT Scanner following specific physician orders.
Produces detailed computer-generated scans of patients for diagnostic and interventional information.
Assists patients onto scanner, verifies patient identification prior to scan, selects patient from worklist, ensures exam is archived on the PACS and completed properly in the RIS.
Maintains facilities in proper order.
Must keep abreast of all new CT procedures.
Every other Saturday overnight, 11p-7a. 1 holiday per year.
Completion from an accredited Radiology Technology program and registered by the ARRT in CT. Existing employees must obtain advanced CT Certification within one (1) year of employment.
One year of practical experience preferred as a staff radiologic technologist. CT experience preferred.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiology Technology program and ARRT registered in CT, with a valid NJ DEP license. Current CPR and BLS certifications are required, and one year of practical experience is preferred.
