Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Cardiology Specialty
MFM Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with at least 2 years experience to join our Cardiology Specialty team. The practice provider will work collaboratively with our cardiologist, physicians, medical assistants, and multidisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care. This role combines clinical expertise, patient education, and a strong focus on improving outcomes in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic studies related to cardiology. Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologist. Manage follow-up care for patients with chronic and acute cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and post-procedure care. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress testing, and lab work. Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations. Provide patient education on cardiovascular disease prevention, medication management, lifestyle modification, and treatment plans. Support cardiologists in procedures and clinic operations as needed. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with MFM Health's standards of care, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Collaborate with primary care and specialty providers to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.

Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Massachusetts. National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA). Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Current DEA license (or eligibility). BLS and ACLS certification required. Prior cardiology or internal medicine experience strongly preferred. Excellent clinical judgement, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced specialty environment. Schedule and Work Environment: Full-time position with a combination of clinic and hospital-based responsibilities. Schedule may include occasional evenings or weekends to support patient needs.
