Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) certification Current ARRT (R)(CT) or board-eligible for the CT Registry Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Current BLS certification preferred IV certification and contrast administration experience preferred Excellent patient care and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Job Summary North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a dependable, patient-focused PRN CT Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate is committed to providing exceptional patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic CT imaging in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This position offers flexible PRN scheduling with opportunities to work at multiple outpatient imaging centers throughout the DFW area.

Perform high-quality diagnostic CT examinations following physician orders and established imaging protocols. Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure a safe and comfortable imaging experience. Safely administer intravenous contrast media in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. Monitor patients before, during, and after contrast administration, recognizing and responding appropriately to adverse reactions. Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining exceptional image quality. Verify patient identity, exam orders, and clinical history prior to imaging. Practice radiation safety by following ALARA principles and utilizing dose optimization techniques. Accurately document patient information, imaging procedures, and contrast administration in the electronic medical record. Maintain CT equipment and report any equipment concerns or malfunctions. Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance protocols. Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to provide outstanding patient care. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Assist with other duties as needed to support departmental operations.
