Job Requirements The Acute Registered Nurse must demonstrate familiarity with dialysis and hospital emergency procedures and the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to assume the responsibility of caring for the dialysis patient in the acute or post-acute care setting. This position exercises a knowledge of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere that allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment. This individual cooperates and works together with all co-workers to plan and complete job duties with applicable supervisory direction, including exercising job-appropriate judgment.
Work Experience Registered Professional Nurse with current state licensure.
Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience, including at least 3 months in hemodialysis; 18 months of nursing experience and 6 months in dialysis preferred.
Critical care experience (ICU/CCU) is preferred but not required.
Home dialysis experience preferred but not required.
Must meet all state/licensing requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and judgment to care for dialysis patients in an acute care setting.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current CPR certification.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
