Description Make a meaningful impact through inpatient care in a mission-driven healthcare setting. Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services, in partnership with Indian Health Services (IHS), is seeking an experienced Hospitalist Physician for a 1099 contract assignment at Hopi Health Care Center. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys inpatient medicine and providing comprehensive care to patients in a close-knit community. Start Date: September Schedule: up to full time| 12-hour shifts Contract Length: Up to 1 year with additional extension options available Location: Polacca, Arizona Facility Info: https://www.ihs.gov/phoenix/healthcarefacilities/hopi/

What You'll Do Provide inpatient medical care to hospitalized patients.

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.

Perform patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.

Manage admissions, daily rounding, and patient care coordination.

Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and imaging studies.

Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited residency program Minimum of 2–3 years of inpatient hospitalist experience preferred Must be a U.S. citizen living primarily in the United States Must be able to pass a federal security clearance

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted MD or DO license (any U.S. state accepted) Board Certified or Board Eligible in appropriate specialty Current BLS and ACLS certification Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills Previous IHS experience preferred Experience with EHR systems required Required immunizations must be up to date
