Job Description

You'll work within a structured behavioral health environment supporting treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term patient outcomes for an adult patient population in a state correctional healthcare setting. You'll work independently within your scope of practice while collaborating with treatment teams, internal departments, and community support agencies to coordinate patient care and long-term treatment outcomes. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM | Rotating weekends as needed Key Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, and update individualized behavioral health treatment plans based on patient needs and progress. Conduct assessments, evaluations, admissions coordination, and crisis intervention within scope of practice. Coordinate referrals and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, internal departments, community agencies, and external partners to support continuity of care. Evaluate treatment effectiveness, modify interventions, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting. Participate in treatment team meetings, training, and program improvement activities while supporting lower-level providers when appropriate. Qualifications

Requirements

Master’s degree. Current BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Current active Ohio Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) license required and maintained in accordance with state continuing education requirements. Ability to work with patients who may have behavioral or psychiatric conditions and meet role-related physical requirements, including occasional lifting up to 60+ lbs. Other Accepted License Pathways for this Behavioral Health Provider role: LISW – Licensed Independent Social Worker LPCC – Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor IMFT – Independent Marriage & Family Therapist Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a Mental Health or Psychiatry specialty
