Care Right There Home Care is seeking a Live-In Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) caregivers who are specifically trained and certified in Dementia/Alzheimer’s care.

As a Live-In CHHA specializing in Dementia & Alzheimer’s care, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, structured, goal-driven support. Responsibilities include:
Goal-Based Client Support Work with the Care Right There team to implement client-specific goals developed by nursing and care management Track progress and adjust approaches as goals are met, modified, or changed due to improvement or decline in condition Document goal progress clearly and consistently
Therapeutic & Functional Activities Facilitate daily cognitive stimulation activities such as memory games, orientation exercises, puzzles, reading, and conversation engagement Lead functional activities to support independence (dressing practice, fine motor tasks, handwriting, sorting, etc.) Assist with physical therapy–aligned exercises as directed by the RN or therapist (range of motion, mobility exercises, balance support, safe ambulation) Encourage meaningful, structured activities (music therapy, art, cooking, routine-based tasks, and personalized engagement)
Daily Personal Care & ADLs Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, and hygiene Support safe mobility, transfers, and prescribed exercise programs Maintain safety through supervision, fall prevention, and behavioral redirection
Dementia & Alzheimer’s Specialized Care Use appropriate dementia-care techniques, including validation, redirection, calm communication, and routine-building Manage and document behavioral changes, confusion, anxiety, wandering, or agitation Maintain structured daily routines that promote stability and reduce cognitive stress
Technology Use & Communication Use caregiver technology tools (apps, tablets, AxisCare, communication tools) to: Log care notes Track goal progress Follow digital care plans Communicate with the office and nursing team Use simple tech with clients when appropriate (music playlists, brain-game apps, memory prompts, digital photo albums)
Household & Safety Support Prepare nutritious meals and support hydration Perform light housekeeping related to client care (laundry, dishes, room upkeep) Maintain a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment Accompany clients to appointments when needed
