About the role

Perform patient care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse within the unit. Maintain equipment and supplies while documenting patient data and communicating significant information to the RN.

What you can expect

Under the direction and supervision of the RN, perform patient care activities, as needed, of the patient population(s) served in the unit/department.

Contribute to patient care in a safe environment, as well as maintaining equipment, supplies, and stock in a safe and efficient manner.

Communicate effectively data and significant patient information to the attention of the RN.

Document data collected during the provision of patient care in a timely manner.

Under the direction and supervision of the RN, perform patient care activities, as needed, of the patient population(s) served in the unit/department.

Qualifications

  • Required Enrolled in program Must be enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing program fully accredited by either the CCNE (Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education) or NLNAC (National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission).
  • Must have successfully completed one full rotation (semester, quarter, etc.) of nursing clinicals through a fully accredited school of nursing. Must be in good standing in their program. - Required
  • Having participated in the Franciscan Alliance or local Division’s established Student Nurse Extern/Student Nurse Intern program. Preferred
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

Travel is required: Never or Rarely

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Associate or Bachelor's degree nursing program and in good standing. Candidates must have successfully completed at least one full rotation of nursing clinicals.
