A Brief Overview Under the General supervision of the Manager and technical guidance of the department the Medical laboratory Technician, performs general laboratory testing in the various sections of the laboratory, performs control testing and initiates troubleshooting steps for problem areas. Performs chemical, histochemical, or morphological analysis on specimens using laboratory using laboratory instrumentation, manual methods, and microscopy after completion of clinical practicums in the appropriate areas.

Ability to work closely with management to ensure processes and procedures are implemented and maintained within the work group.
Ability to use open communication between coworkers, physicians, hospital and clinic employee partners and healthcare leaders.

Requires an Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or a related biological/chemical science. Must have completed clinical training in a Medical Laboratory Technology program.
