As a Medical Assistant/LPN, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
For Medical Assistants the pay starts between $22-23/hr. For LPN the pay starts between $24.50-25.50/hr. Pay is determined by experience and qualifications of the position. Leaders may be willing to offer more with prior direct experience in the role.
The Pain Management Clinic at Aurora West Allis Medical Center (8901 W. Lincoln Ave., West Allis, WI) specializes in helping patients manage acute and chronic pain through comprehensive evaluation and interventional treatment approaches. The clinic is affiliated with the hospital's anesthesiology and pain management services and provides care for conditions such as back and neck pain, nerve-related pain, joint pain, and other persistent pain disorders. Patients have access to advanced pain-management techniques within a full-service medical center setting, allowing coordination with specialists, imaging, rehabilitation, and other hospital-based services when needed.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
