The Telemetry Technician observes telemetry monitors to ensure consistent patient safety. They work collaboratively with the nursing staff within the Cardiology unit.

Pay Range

$17.00 - $23.80 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education. HSHS St. John's Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Technician to join our Cardiology unit. Telemetry Technicians observe telemetry monitors and work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure consistent patient safety.

Education Qualifications High School Diploma or GED- Required Experience Qualifications 1 year of Telemetry experience preferred 2 years of experience in the medical field preferred Certifications, Licenses and Registrations Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required Basic Life Support (BLS) required Certification in cardiac technology by the American Cardiology Association- Preferred Successfully complete basic EKG training at the first offering and 16 hours of 12-lead EKG training within 3 months of hire-Required Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Throughout communities in Illinois and Wisconsin, 13 hospitals, numerous community-based health centers and clinics, our 13,000+ colleagues have built a culture based on our solid core values of respect, care, competence, and joy. Requirements

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with BLS certification. Completion of basic and 12-lead EKG training is required within three months of hire.
