Provide technical laboratory support and perform moderately complex testing within an antibiotic resistance research lab. Responsibilities include conducting microbiology techniques, analyzing data using statistical software, and maintaining lab documentation and equipment.
Under general supervision, provides a wide variety of moderately complex laboratory testing and technical lab support for a research facility in an antibiotic resistance research lab.
Some experience in microbiology techniques would be preferred, but candidate must be open to learning.
Successful candidate will perform numerous microbiology techniques, including susceptibility testing.
In addition, this position requires knowledge or the ability to learn techniques such as genomic analysis, RNA isolation and evaluation, and protein analysis including immunoblotting.
Lab documentation such as documenting experiments, maintaining laboratory notebook, analyzing data, and reporting using complex statistical computer software is a necessity.
Additional lab-related support duties such as ordering supplies, instrumentation maintenance, etc required.
