The Registered Nurse works at our main hospital campus, reporting directly to the Emergency Department Director. In this role, you’ll provide professional, compassionate care to patients in a Level IV emergency department. As a rural health facility, our ED sees a wide variety of cases—some routine, some unexpected—offering an opportunity to use strong critical thinking and broad clinical skills while caring for patients and families in our community.
Triages each patient and determines priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs.
Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals.
Assists physicians during examinations and emergency procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary.
Observes patients’ progress, records observations in patient medical record, and updates attending physician directly when necessary.
The RN assists in the maintenance of health and the prevention or management of illness, injury and disability.
Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
Who We’re Looking For
Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
Active license in the State of Colorado as an RN.
Must have an American Heart Association BLS card within 3 months of initial employment and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
American Heart Association ACLS, PALS or ENPC and TNCC certifications are required within 6 months of initial employment and must be maintained throughout GRHD employment.
One year of professional nursing experience in an emergency department setting preferred.

Pay Range: 29.42-$46.20/hour (based on experience)
Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends, and other incentive pay available.

Requires a nursing degree, an active Colorado RN license, and BLS certification. ACLS, PALS, ENPC, or TNCC certifications are required within six months, with one year of ED experience preferred.
